European Energy acquires REintegrate
Hydrogen Denmark’s member European Energy has acquired the PtX company REintegrate, which means that REintegrate will be part of the newly established PtX section in European Energy. The section will be located in Støvring, where REintegrate is already located.
The acquisition has taken place as a result of, among other things, the increased demand for PtX technology. Earlier this year, European Energy, REintegrate and Maersk entered into an agreement to supply e-methanol to Maersk’s first container ship that can sail on this sustainable fuel. European Energy has also entered into an agreement with fuel distributor Circle K for the supply of e-methanol. Two agreements that underline the growing popularity and potential of PtX solutions.
Emil Vikjær-Andresen will be the head of European Energy’s new PtX sector. In connection with the acquisition of REintegrate, he says the following to Ritzau: “As we have seen in the past year, the demand for PtX solutions already exists. This is an unfulfilled market where we have a unique opportunity to gain experience and know-how about the fuel solutions of the future. We have now established a competent and experienced team, and we are very happy to be able to drive this innovation forward in Denmark.”
